"Running for fitness, Running for fun"

Welcome to the Cobra Running
and Triathlon Club Website

The Cobra Running and Triathlon Club was founded in 1991 by a group of friends from Halesowen in the West Midlands who enjoyed jogging. Since then, the club has gone from strength to strength and now has over 90 adult members of varying abilities. Our member's ages range from teenagers to over 60s. Unfortunately Cobra does not have a separate junior section.

Cobra actively encourages absolute beginners; women are escorted on all training runs and can take advantage of 'women only' sessions on Wednesday evenings. We always meet the needs of new runners!

Most of our training sessions start from Halesowen Leisure Centre, Great Cornbow, Halesowen, see our training section for more details.

We have developed a wealth of experience across our membership, with numerous members regularly competing in cross country, multi-terrain, triathlon and road races.

In addition, Cobra also hosts a number of events throughout the year, including the Cobra Classic 10K Road Race, Halesowen Triathlon and Aquathon.  There is also a handicapped race called the Christmas Cracker, which is especially for Cobra members.

Our club motto is "Running for Fitness, Running for Fun" and this is actively encouraged.
