Cobra Classic 10k

This year’s race will be held on 20th May 2018

Cobra running club hold their own 10k road race.

The race takes place  from the Old Halesonians Rugby Club at Wassell Grove

The race originally started as a 14K and was very successful in the 90’s but over a period of time competitor numbers dwindled and the general consensus from the Running fraternity was that it was an unusual distance and perhaps should be shortened to a 10K. It was from here that the Cobra Classic 10K was born.

Last year nearly 150 competitors entered the race and the fun run, and in 2016 we hope to see a similar number of entries.

The race starts at the rugby Club see map and is a single lap course on mainly suburban roads around Halesowen and Wassell Grove, with a short section off road at about the 8K point. The finish is back at the Rugby Club where ample refreshments and homemade goodies await you and for those of you who like a little tipple there is a fully licensed bar to help replace all those lost calories,

There is ample free parking at the Rugby Club and shower facilities, there will be entries on the day with registration opening at 8.30am.

Why not come along and enjoy the day and perhaps get the kids to do the fun run its only 3.5k and is around the grounds of the rugby club totally traffic free and safe.

We look forward to seeing you all there.
