On a glorious sunny but chilly Boxing Day 32 Cobra Runners and friends ventured out for the Annual Boxing Day Run. Meeting at the Walton Hill Road car park the run went up the main path to Mark’s bench where the photographs was taken before going on to the trig point and across to cottages. Going through the kissing gate the run went along the edge of Walton Hill, slippy and muddy at times and undulating before reaching the Welsh Stone. Descending what was the ravine and usually very muddy now transformed in to a proper track, the run traversed the hill crossing the road and fields before running back up Walton Hill from St Leonards Church. A very steep climb that for some proved too much…no disgrace in walking after the festivities. Regrouping at the trig point the run descended Walton Hill from the finger post before finally finishing in the car park, approximately 5 miles. Thank you to everyone who participated in what was a memorable run.
