The new cracker course

20 Mar

A brilliant new cracker course, thanks to John L and Steve F for selecting this interesting route.

The course maybe slightly altered for Christmas, to make it marginally longer, only by adding the trig point on Walton hills.

We all ran well today sorry for Nicki and Alex who got slightly lost.

It was Alex’s race to be had albeit for a slight error on his part. 😀

All to my benefit! Sorry Alex.

Well done Fran first Cobra female, and John L first Cobra male (25 years and 25 finishes) well done John.

Rebecca X cobra came in first but only as a guest well done to her.

Sally F and Claire W fastest ladies.

And I won fastest lap I don’t know how, thanks  Steve for the push.

A great day and I’m looking forward to the next one.

A special thanks to Paul Doug and Lee for time keeping and marshalling.

A big thanks to Steve, a nice crowd out today.

Boxing Day run 2015

27 Dec

imageBefore

Twenty Five intrepid Cobra and friends turned up at Walton Hill Car Park for the annual Boxing Day Run. Running over Walton Hill, stopping at Mark’s Bench, the Trig Point and the cottages the run traversed the edge of Walton Hill down to the Welsh Stone before descending a very wet and muddy gutter, for some a new experience! Across the field and down to St Leonards in Clent before climbing back up to the top of Walton Hill and down to the car park it was a tough 4 miles in a chilly breeze which ended with a nice warming mulled wine provided by Steve and Fran. A good run in good company!!

Well done Alex for finishing first on his debut but I think everyone should be pleased with their times on what could be described as an undulating course, except me as I took a wrong turn, you’d think I should know the route by now.

Marks memory lives on, 25 Cobras raced to remember this great guy.

Thanks Alan for the rapid results, well done too for the fast finishers Carson Mike and Alex  good running.

This year was good next year will be better!
