Cobra Social Activities

Cobra Running and Triathlon Club has an appointed Social Secretary to ensure that we can enjoy ourselves away from training or racing. A variety of social activities are arranged throughout the year which are well attended by members, their family and friends.

Previous social events have included, Beer and Skittles nights in the summer, Christmas celebrations (e.g. dinner and disco), Lake District trips, curry nights and general pub nights.

For bookings or more details on any social functions please contact Social Secretary Steve Amos on: 07941 022 895.

Upcoming Events:

Cobra Cross Country Section Curry

When?  Tuesday 13th April 2010 @ 20:15 to 20:30

Where? Bangla Lounge, Halesowen

Details?  A curry night to celebrate the end of the Cross Country season and to present awards.  Everyone is welcome, regardless of whether you've competed in a Cross Country.  There are 20 places booked, although the restaurant can probably accommodate more (they've been very flexible in the past).  Tuesday night is two-for-one at the Bangla Lounge on main courses.

DK10K Post-Race Pub Night

When?  Wednesday 5th May 2010 after the DK10K race

Where?  The Old Swan (aka Ma Pardoes), Netherton

Details?  In previous years, those who have run the DK10K have met for a post-race drink or two.  Everyone is welcome to tag along, even if you've not run the 10K race.  For info, there are now very good showers and changing at the Dudley Kingswinford Rugby Club, so you can freshen up properly before going to The Old Swan..

Possible Future Socials:

Quiz Night at The Bell and Bear, Gorsty Hill.  Date tbc.

Beer and Skittles at The Fountain, Clent.  Date tbc.

Enville Brewery Trip - This event was scheduled for Saturday 20th June 2009 but was postponed due to lack of interest.  It is envisaged to be re-scheduled later in 2010.
