Triathlon
Cobra Running Club was founded over 20 years ago in 1991, and affiliated to the British Triathlon Federation (BTF) in 1992 as several members were competing in triathlons regularly at that time and have continued to do so since. To take account of this the club name was changed in 2001 to Cobra Running and Triathlon Club and continues to be affiliated to both UK Athletics and the BTF.
Cobra Running and Triathlon Club is one club with the benefits of these affiliations available to all members irrespective of race, gender, age (18+), faith, ability, or particular interests within the sport.
Coached swimming
Cobra is very fortunate to have access to Halesowen Leisure Centre Swimming Pool and to the benefit of two lanes on Monday evenings 7.00 – 7.45 pm all year round. Top class coaching is given by Matt Cherry from Halesowen Swimming Club who is always on hand to offer advice to individual members on improving their swimming techniques.
Cost: Leisure Centre Swim fee payable at the desk and £2.00 for the coached session payable to the Triathlon Rep.

Top Barn

Time: Sa = 08:00 to 10:00, Th = 18:00 to 20:00
Cost: £3.00
Conditions & Safety: 1.5 metres deep, weeds, clear swim markers
Location: Holt Heath near Ombersley, Worcestershire
Facilities: Free car parking, changing rooms, showers & coffee shop
Oh!! No skinny dipping allowed, all venues require you to wear a wetsuit! Interested but don’t have a wetsuit? Don’t worry, some shops will hire wetsuits out for the season.
